Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Operates under the functional steering of Material Group Manager (MGM) and carries out tasks delegated by MGM to ensure alignment of the area with global sourcing strategies

  • Implements MGM’s global strategy on applicable area level

  • Serves as the primary interface between the area and MGM for purchasing topics; consolidates and communicates area requirements

  • Supports RFx processes, negotiations and award decisions as delegate

  • Contributes to the implementation of the material group strategy and provides local requirements and market insights

  • Participates in local market analyses and supplier scouting

  • Supports area supplier management verifies technical capabilities, evaluates performance, and supports supplier development (including visits)

  • Provides input to area planning and reporting

  • Maintains close collaboration within Purchasing organization and with area cross functional teams, especially Supply Chain, for forecasting and delivery execution

 

Personality requirements and skills

  • University Master’s degree ( Technical, Economy)

  • Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Word

  • Experience in international trade of production materials on a large scale

  • Ability to communicate professionally with development engineers when solving team tasks in the field of electronics

  • Knowledge of processes and production of electrical components is welcome

  • Negotiation skills

  • Basic knowledge of SAP

  • English – Upper intermediate (B2) and Slovak - Upper intermediate (B2)

  • Driving licence - B

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position/sector

  • Ability to work in an international environment (main internal and external partners outside Slovakia)
